Writing the Rainbow

If you were to disregard all of the file folders, books and scribbled Post-It notes, one of the first things you'd notice about my office is my fondness for The Wizard of Oz. Along the walls and bookshelves are postcards of Dorothy and The Wicked Witch, a stuffed Scarecrow and a Cowardly Lion hand puppet. There's also an 18-inch rainbow on my desk. It's really a candleholder, a simple black ornamental bridge with small glass votives of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. To me it is a symbol of hope and inspiration, a reminder of how color became my muse.

The road to rainbows

Like many writers, there was a time when my words did not flow, flow, flow onto the paper, a time when I would have welcomed a pair of ruby slippers just so I could click myself three times out of the Writers Block Woods and into the Creative Light. Then one day I walked into a metaphysical shop and found my muse. There along one large, sunny window were over 100 square glass bottles, each containing two different-colored layers of liquid. They mesmerized me with their gem-like brilliance.

This was my introduction to Aura-Soma, an holistic therapy which uses the healing energies of colors, plants and crystals. Instinctively, I reached for "Gabriel", the blue-over-violet bottle. By applying the oily contents to my throat and temple, my communication abilities would be greatly improved, it was explained. What's this--a writer's miracle in a bottle? Intrigued, I brought "Gabriel" home and after only a few applications, I found myself enjoying what I can only describe as a creative high.

An ancient method

Now that I have spent many years researching the benefits of color, I'm not surprised "Gabriel" worked so well. "Color is a powerful tool," author Lori Reid wrote in ther book, Color Book: Use the healing powers of color to transform your life. "It acts on our bodies, minds, and emotions, triggering deep and subtle responses on a subconscious level."

Within each of us are spinning wheels of energy called chakras which correspond to a specific color of the spectrum, as well as an emotional issue. Red (root chakra, located at the base of the spine) is used for energy, grounding and passion. Orange (sacral chakra, located two inches below the navel) promotes joy and sexuality. Yellow (solar plexus chakra, located below the breastbone) helps counteract depression and stimulates mental activity. Green (heart chakra, located at the center of the chest) represents compassion and healing. Blue (throat chakra, located at the throat) deals with peace, communication and artistic expression. Indigo (brow chakra, located at the third eye area, between the brows) activates intuition. Violet (crown chakra, located at the crown of the head) represents spirituality and inspiration.

Since ancient times, color has been used in physical, mental and emotional healing. It is said that Hippocrates applied his medicine in rooms painted in soothing colors and used different colored salves and ointments as treatment. In ancient Egypt, China and India, individuals were dipped in colored pigment or bathed in light that was filtered through colored-glass windows. Today color is introduced by using crystals and visualization, wearing a particular color clothing to absorb color physically, applying colored lights or oils to the skin, eating colored foods and drinking colored water. One can also receive different color vibrations through music.

Color your world

How would you describe green to your readers? Before you write, visualize your setting and try to see, feel and smell the green. Say you are writing a short story about a young girl living in an old country cottage in Ireland. Is the color of the grass and trees an emerald or Kelly green? Does the grass feel dry or wet? How do you convey the smell of the countryside? Is green an earthy, clean smell? Is it sweet and slightly minty or antiseptic-smelling like pine?

"Becoming aware of the effects of color means that we can make use of its positive benefits to lift our spirits, to unlock our creative imagination, to enhance our environment and to improve our image, our well-being, and our lives," says Reid.

Did you know that if you write on a yellow note pad with blue ink, you can enhance both your communication and creative skills? Think about what you wish to communicate to your readers. Is it anger? Joy or pain?

Once you understand the excessive and deficient qualities associated with each color, you can write stories with more interesting, more believable characters. In her book, Color and Crystals: A Journey Through The Chakras, author Joy Gardner provides an excellent example of someone who has too much red energy:

"This wealthy perfectionist is the owner of a California restaurant chain. He rules his employees like a commanding general. He is nervous and chronically constipated. He owns three cars, which give him little satisfaction. He sleeps with many women, but it's an empty experience."

Gardner describes the rainbow colors and their related excessive energies as Red--greedy, egotistic, domineering, sexually indiscriminate; Orange--emotionally explosive, aggressive, manipulative, over-indulgent; Yellow--judgmental, workaholic, perfectionist, overly intellectual; Green--demanding, possessive, moody, melodramatic; Blue--arrogant, self-righteous, dogmatic, addictive; Indigo--egomaniac, proud, religiously dogmatic, authoritarian and Violet--psychotic, depressed, destructive.

An outstanding example of a red personality is the aptly named Scarlett O'Hara, the fiery heroine from "Gone With The Wind". Talk about attention-getters! Scarlett was stubborn and temperamental, a woman who demanded everything the world had to offer. Nothing could stop her from achieving her goals, not death and destruction nor the scorn and wagging tongues of the local citizens. If she had to steal her sister's beau, murder a Yankee or toil in the fields, well, so be it. She would not be defeated.

In the end, Scarlett had amassed great wealth and had rebuilt her beloved Tara, but she had suffered great losses as well. Her daughter was dead and her husband, Rhett Butler, clearly didn't give a damn and was heading out the door. But we just know that Scarlett got Rhett in the end. Why? Because she never, ever quit. She knew what she wanted and she would fight the devil himself to ensure that she got it. Scarlett O'Hara was the ultimate survivor. Surely, if she had had a personal mantra, it would have been: "It's all about me!"

A writer's meditation

Sit or lie in a comfortable position. Close your eyes and imagine yourself sitting on a beautiful white sandy beach. The sun is directly overhead and its rays are brilliant and warm as they flow from the top of your head and throughout your body.

Let your toes feel the cool, Caribbean blue waters. See yourself staring out to sea, mesmerized by the dancing rhythm of the waves. Watch the seagulls fly above you, then see them dive into the sparkling water. You feel at peace here. After awhile, you notice a huge wave coming toward you but you are not afraid. The water comes close to your hand and when the wave is gone, you see it has left you a wondrous gift.

Glowing like jewels on the sand are seven different colors of seaglass. You pick up the red seaglass first and hold it in the palm of your hand. Stare into the seaglass and imagine you are becoming smaller and smaller until you are surrounded by the red seaglass. Feel the warmth and energy of the color red. Red is the first color of the rainbow. It is the color of passion and enthusiasm and survival. Red helps you obtain your material needs.

Now pick up the orange-colored seaglass. Orange is the second color of the rainbow. Look into the seaglass and become the color orange. Orange is a joyful color. With orange, you feel happy about your decision to become a writer and you will not allow anyone or anything to dampen your enthusiasm.

Now pick up the yellow-colored seaglass and feel the power of yellow surround you. Yellow is the third color of the rainbow. Yellow gives you better confidence in your writing abilities, no matter how many rejection slips or criticisms you receive.

Place the green-colored seaglass into your hand. Green is the fourth color of the rainbow. It is the color of harmony and balance and peace. When you are hurrying to meet deadlines for books and articles, visualize the color green and your balance will be restored.

Pick up the blue-colored seaglass and become the color blue. Blue is the fifth color of the rainbow and offers you creativity and communication. Blue helps you perceive the truth and to conquer writer's block.

Now pick up the indigo-colored seaglass. This is the sixth color of the rainbow. Indigo is the color of intuition, your inner voice that tells you to "go for it". You need to trust your intuition if you are to realize your potential and become a successful writer.

Now there is only one seaglass left to explore, the violet-colored one. Violet is the seventh color of the rainbow. It is the color of faith. No matter how difficult your life may get, faith never lets you give up on yourself. In your journey as a writer, remember the color violet and your abilities and opportunities will improve.

Now slowly open your eyes and when you are ready, take your favorite colored pen or pencil in hand and write a page in your personal color journal, knowing that the power of the seven colors of the rainbow has made you into a better and more creative writer.

Are you ready to do some rainbow writing? Try these exercises now:

1. Write about a red place, object or character. OR write a cover letter to an agent, describing why he/she should take you on as a client. What are your accomplishments? Why are you certain your book or article will sell?

2. Write about an orange place, object or character. OR write about the first time you knew you really wanted to become a writer. Then write how you felt when you received your first criticism or rejection letter. Were you angry? Sad? Suicidal? How did you resolve the situation?

3. Write about a yellow place, object or character. OR write a movie synopsis of your life. Is it a poignant drama, comedy or psychological thriller? Which actor portrays you? Would you give your life story a General, PG-13 or R rating?

4. Write about a green place, object or character. OR write a poem about a time when you really loved something or someone. How did you express your love? Was it returned or rejected?

5. Write about a blue place, object or character. OR interview yourself as if you are already a successful writer. What suggestions would you give to a beginning writer? How have you managed to keep your name at the top of the bestseller lists? How do you avoid writer's block? Do you network with other writers?

6. Write about an indigo place, object or character. OR write a dialogue in which a small child is describing your present surroundings to an older blind person.

7. Write about a violet place, object or character. OR in first person, create a Cinderella-like fairytale where your greatest desire is to attend the most famous writers conference in the country. What are your adversities? How do you eventually get to the conference? Describe the general layout of the conference. Whom do you meet there? What questions do you ask your favorite author? What lessons do you learn? (Begin your story with "Once upon a time I was...")

Creating a personal color journal

Once I was angry with a person whom I felt had treated me unfairly. Since I was already "seeing red", I instinctively reached for a red pen and began to write passionately, wildly, about the injustice of it all. Had I been trying to "chill", I would have grabbed my "cool blue" pen instead. But in this situation I needed to express my anger--to really feel the emotional power of it--and that is why I chose to "be" red for that journaling session.

As you might expect from someone with an Oz collection, one of my major philosophies in life is to have fun, so I suggest the more colorful you can make your journal, the better. Choose either a large spiral notebook in your favorite color or seven different notebooks to reflect each hue of the rainbow and its corresponding emotion. If you are feeling depressed on the day of your journal entry, you need to add more red, so you will write this entry in red because red is the antidote to blue.

To get you started, here are nine colorful journaling prompts:

1. On the top of each page, write and complete this sentence: "The color I feel today is _______________________ because..."

2. Describe how you generally feel about the color red (or orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo or violet) and why.

3. Using the color red, complete this affirmation: "Today I have..."

4. Using the color orange, complete this affirmation: "Today I feel..."

5. Using the color yellow, complete this affirmation: "Today I can..."

6. Using the color green, complete this affirmation: "Today I love..."

7. Using the color blue, complete this affirmation: "Today I speak..."

8. Using the color indigo, complete this affirmation: "Today I see..."

9. Using the color violet, complete this affirmation: "Today I know..."

Dive write in, the aura's fine

Red. Orange. Yellow. Green. Blue. Indigo. Violet. These seven colors are powerful tools for writers. So if you've lost your muse somewhere along the yellow brick road and don't have a pair of ruby slippers to find it, look to the rainbow and you'll discover that writing is an even greater adventure when it's not all black and white.

Authentic Japanese Houses

Japan boasts of latest housing styles developed with state-of-the art as well as with the legacy of age-old tradition. The spectacular view of these houses can easily capture one's mind at the very first glance. They have a unique look and natural aura altogether vibrant with sophisticated use of traditional materials like timber and paper. These houses, be they modern or traditional, are usually of not more than two stories.

According to the age-old Japanese construction style, timber buildings are supposed to last twenty years without refurbishing or remodeling. However, one of the great disadvantages of such houses is its depreciation level. It is very high in comparison to the American houses which appreciate in value.

The basic difference between authentic Oriental and Western housing styles lies in the plan of the interior. The usages of the entrance or the Gencen are similar to the western idea of a porch or entry. Apart from that the kitchen or Daydokaro, the washroom or bath, which is Sentho and the restroom or Benzaw do have specific areas dedicated to them. The space is usually left at large to be used as per the need of the homemaker.

The requirement of designated rooms is fulfilled by dividing the large space left to be used. They apply Fusouma that is a sliding door for this purpose and utilize the space in customized way to create dining or living hall. Fusouma is made of timber and substantial paper called Oaashi. These doors are easy to dismantle and remove when not in use.

Traditionally in larger houses there used to be one room called Eema, which was large enough to be partitioned as required. Other essential rooms were on another side, each as an addition to the main construction. The corridor, which had timber terrazzo, ran along the boundary of the house. Unlike the general windows, here they were made of again timber and paper. For this they used the Shozee variety of paper, which was transparent enough to pass the daylight.

The most up-to-date technique of housing of the 21st century also follows the original Japanese trend of having a single room. It is called Oaashitsou. They hardly keep any furniture in this room. Instead, they use tataami mats. These mats are made of solid straw and rushes. It is strong enough to withstand the body weight of a person. Japanese people use them as a comfortable substitute of timber or stone bed.

Classically Japanese in design, from the entrance you need to take one step up to get into the house. According to the Japanese tradition, a guest usually leaves his shoes or slippers outside the door or entrance pointing towards the road. It only requires the person to slip his feet inside and he would be on his way once he is done with visiting. However, this does not mean that shoes are not worn inside. There are indoor slippers for this purpose.

The basic furnishing of a Japanese food preparation area goes this way - a heater with small stovetop, broilers and a fridge. There is a specific place for catering foods along with a sink to wash the utensils and edibles.

The washroom is furnished with a bathtub. Generally they are water-resistant. For shower, there is an adjoining area in the same room. Bath water is kept clean of soap residues and body filth, because in Japan people usually re-utilize that water for cleaning clothes or other purposes. So they wash the muck out of the bathing area regularly.

Toilets and latrines are incorporated with both Western styled commode and squat ones. The area of this room is same as the usual toilets. There are special slippers meant to be used for this area only.

The traditional heating device Kothaatsu is actually a table with heating equipment lying at its bottom. In winter, people gather around it to enjoy the heat. A blanket surrounds the table to trap the heat for more comfort.

How to Keep Your Carpet Clean Even With Kids in Your Home

When you have children, it can be hard to keep the house clean, but one part of the house that takes a direct hit is the carpet.

Kids are notorious for tracking in a variety of messes and the carpet - no matter its color or previous condition - suffers because of it. But there are some things you can do to help kids and clean carpets live in harmony.

First, have a no-shoes policy. It's become more and more common for people to take their shoes off as soon as they enter someone's house, or even before. Don't worry about what people will think. Be firm about this rule, and apply it evenly to adults and children so you don't discriminate.

By making sure shoes aren't worn in the house, you are also ensuring that the carpets get spared from whatever might be on someone's shoes, like oil, dirt or grass. If you feel uncomfortable asking guests to remove shoes, you can offer them a pair of slippers from a basket near your door.

Second, don't assume that if the kids are running around the house in socks, that's fine for the carpets. Some kids will run outside in their socks, and then come back in house. Their socks are now as dirty as a shoe might be. Check the bottoms of the kid's socks periodically and if they are dirty, make them change their socks.

Vacuum often, as in just about every day. Contrary to some people's beliefs, vacuuming does not wear down the carpet, but actually benefits the carpet. Do it often to keep the dirt from soaking into the fibers (making it very hard to get clean). If there are stains on the carpet, you're more likely to see them when vacuuming the carpet (when you're looking directly at it) than when you're walking all over it. Then you can deal with the stains as you see them and before they become harder to get out.

Finally, get your carpets cleaned regularly. Many people wait until they see dirt and stains to clean their carpets, but cleaning them before you see the dirt is a better idea. Your carpet, which is a big investment, will last longer. Experts recommend getting carpets cleaned about every 6 months, when you do your regular heavy cleaning.

If you follow these steps, you can have light colored carpet, pets and children and all can live peacefully together.

Stop Your Dog From Chewing Things

Stop your dog from chewing things such as shoes, slippers, pant legs, furniture legs and more or allow it to put you in a state of depression. For god sakes it even wants to chew on your hands and feet.

Is this normal, will the dog ever grow out of it? It is normal if you allow it to happen. He may grow out of it but not before he can create some real damage. Actually he does not grow out of it. You probably keep after it until it finally does quit. Not before some great damage has been done.

You may even be contributing to his chewing by things you are doing with him. You may have good intentions but the road to hell has been paved with good intentions. I am not saying your dog is a creature from hell like some might be thinking. Maybe even yourself. No your dog is just being a dog without proper training.

I myself have seen dogs chew the stuffing out of a brand new sofa, chew up good shoes and do a job on the legs of a wooden table and chair set. Holy Christmas there must be something that can be done with a creature like that. Visitors come in, only to swear not to go back because their hands are sore from the dog continuously biting them.

The dog does not know any better. It thinks it is playing, socializing, so to speak. You need to take control of your household and set the dog straight. You must do it before you have no friends not to mention footwear and furniture.

There is a right way to do it and a wrong way to do it. You do not want to end up hating the dog or having it hate you. Dog trainers can be quite expensive but there is an alternative. You can be taught how to deal with your dog.

So get on the ball and take control of your life. Get your friends back and save the furniture. Stop that dog from chewing things up. There is help out there, it is just up to you to get it.

Top 10 Hair Dying Mistakes

Whether you want to want to get rid of that gray hair or you just want to have a new look, dying is a good way to achieve it. Unfortunately, hair dying entails consequences that may damage and dry your hair when used inappropriately. The selected color of your dye should blend with the original color of your hair and eyebrows and to enhance your features. Experimenting is good, but dyes can be rough on your hair when used frequently. Although it is best to dye at a professional salon or stylist, it is much cheaper at home with the same creative effect. Before you see the top 10 hair dying mistakes, it is important to have an understanding of the different types of hair dye that are available so you can put them in context.

Types of Hair Dye

1. Permanent hair dye

While dying your hair permanantly is, by some, considered in and of itself a mistake, the obvious benefit is that it lasts for a considerable time. As the hair grows, it is applied to the roots. It contains ammonia and peroxides, which can possibly cause dryness and damage. Exposure to the sun and salt water will cause the color to fade. Thats why in order to maintain the color, it is best to cover your hair by using a hat or bandanna when going outside.

2. Long-lasting Semi-permanent

As the name implies, has the longest life remaining even after more than 20 washes, depending on the brand.

3. Semi-permanent

These have the shortest lifespan for dyes. After 6-12 washes, the color will start to fade. This is recommended for first-time users and those who want to experiment with colors.

How to dye your hair safely and professionally:

- Separate hair into two quadrants. Then clip each part.

- Wear plastic gloves while mixing dye solution. Follow the directions written on the box.

- Squeeze a small amount of coloring into one quadrant. Streak thin stripes of color over the whole area of the quadrant. Put a clip on the colored part.

- Repeat the process after you have completed coloring the four quadrants.

- Consult instructions on how long you should leave it. Add a couple of minutes of wait to that of the suggested treatment time.

- Put on left over color mix to the entire head after a few minutes.

- Rinse with cold water.

Top 10 hair dying mistakes!

- Number 10: Applying dye to dirty, tangled hair

Deep condition your hair a month before dying to maintain color. Be sure your hair is relatively clean before applying. Trim hair especially dry and split ends to even out color. Hair should be slightly damp when dye is applied.

- Number 9: Using hair conditioner before you dye

Do not condition your hair a few hours before applying hair dye, shampooing will do the trick. Your hair needs to be free of free radicals such as dirt and oil as much as possible.

- Number 8: Choosing hair dye based on what the model on the box looks like

Consult the local salon or stylist on what colors would look best on you. The hair dye you choose should have the same tone as your skin color.

- Number 7: Forgetting to check for allergic contents

After choosing a brand, apply a tiny amount of hair dye near your neck or behind your ear to see if irritation, redness, inflammation, allergy, hair loss or any bad reactions occur. Wash the affected area right away if this happens. Remember the instructions carefully. Do the patch test 1-2 days before hair dye application.

- Number 6: Doing your entire head without testing a small amount of your hair first

Do a strand test by applying a bit of dye to a few stands of your hair to see if you got the right color.

- Number 5: Staining your skin or clothes

Protect your skin by wrapping a towel around your neck as the dye can irritate your skin or affect your clothes. Gloves should be used and must be included in a hair dye kit. Applying petroleum jelly or cream around your ears and neck part will keep off stains. Wipe off oil after shampooing. If you do happen to stain your skin, don't worry, rubbing alcohol will remove dye stains from your skin

- Number 4: Picking a color that does not fit with your natural hair color

Pick a color one shade lighter when dying your roots. This will make the transition from your colored hair back to your natural hair color graceful without roots that are a completely different color sticking out. Obviously, this rule does not apply if you are dying your hair a completely different color than your natural hair color.

- Number 3: Losing hair

After dying, always rinse with cold or tepid water to avoid your own hair from falling out.

- Number 2: Over-dying hair

If you did not achieve the desired effect, using Liquid Tide can correct this. A couple of days of use will lighten the color until your hair returns to the original color. Instead of over-dying, do touch-ups every four to five weeks to keep your hair color picture perfect.

- Number 1: Dying eyebrows and eyelashes

Never use hair dye on eyebrows and eyelashes! Ask for medical help when dye gets into your eye.

Dearfoams Women's DF592 Slipper

Petal pink and made of soft microfiber terry, these closed-back slippers from Dearfoam will keep your feet warm and snug and pretty all the way through breakfast. The slipper is subtly styled with soft pink flower embroidery on the vamp and a pink satin stripe covering the back seam. Supple rubber soles will keep you secure as you sneak up on your day.
Customer Review: Nice and Cozy
I think these slippers are great. They're very soft and cushy and I like the non-skid rubber soles. I didn't want scuffs or low back slippers because I go up and down stairs a lot and feel the backs on these are safer. Only caveat is the fit: they're very true to size. I wear an 8.5 and ordered an 8 because I thought the 9 might be too loose. I find the 8 a bit snug - wish they offered half sizes. Haven't washed them yet so I don't know if they shrink. Not worth the money and effort to exchange them, but if I had to do it over again, I'd order a half size larger.
Customer Review: Small
Ordered these for my wife. She wears a size 7 but the slippers were TOO SMALL (both). Consider ordering a size larger or another product.

Nail fungus is a common infection which could be affecting you. If you are suffering from toe nail fungus, you might hesitate to use a natural cure for toe nail fungus. You may be wondering if a natural cure really can provide good results. Here's what you should know about natural cures for toe nail infections.

Natural Products

There are a lot of natural products for fungal infections. A couple of them really do work. There are however a variety of natural ingredients that have been identified to work well against nail fungus. Different products may contain different ingredients with varying amounts of extracts and levels of potency.

What's In The Box - The key to finding out which product works best is to research about the various components of an anti-fungal product. Many product websites can give you a head start through their ingredient pages. From there you can easily perform your own research to determine the natural ingredients' treatment properties.

It's not an easy condition to cure, though. It can cling for many months even if you apply a topical solution consistently. It can even go away for awhile only to come back again. Once you pick a natural product to use against it, make sure you use it regularly as indicated. It is also best to use a natural product as early as possible. A toe nail fungal infection that has progressed to the advanced stages may be extremely difficult to treat. You may have to settle for having the infected nail removed.

Prevention and Self-Care

Prevent It - You shouldn't just rely on a natural cure for toe nail fungus. The best first step against toe nail fungus is to try and prevent it in the first place. If you still manage to get infected, you should strive to contain it in its early stages. Here are some tips for natural toe nail fungus prevention and self-care.

- Make sure that you always have dry feet. Use a clean towel to keep your feet dry. Fungus love moist places and moist nails. This could be one of the reasons for infection or a worsening of an initial infection.

- Don't walk on barefoot. This is especially important when you use public showers or go to pools. Walking barefoot is the easiest way to catch a fungal infection in public places where there is a lot of water. If you have to go to wet area, always wear rubber sandals or slippers.

- Trim your nails. You should however avoid trimming too close to the skin or flesh. Doing so could result in skin cuts that could leave an opening to the nail bed. This is the perfect entrance for fungi.

- If you have to go to a salon, be very picky. The tools used to clean your toe nails could also carry fungi that could transfer to your toes. Pedicure tools should be clean and even sterilized.

- Avoid wearing nail polish if you already have an infection. Polishing your toe nails could become tempting because you want to cover up. Nail polish however could further trap moisture in and promote the development of the fungi.

Check out the best natural cure for toe nail fungus. Treat your ugly toe nail fungi now.

Sometimes hitting a plateau can set motivation aside. It's sometimes really hard to lose weight on diet and exercise alone. Atro-Phex may be the answer. This supplement has helped many people lose weight and get toned such as 8 time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman. The truth is you don't need to be a bodybuilder to take a product like this. Atro-Phex helps people show their true definition. BSN has been in the industry for a long while, and knows what it takes to make a great product.

Back in June 2008 I just wasn't seeing results, so I decided to take Atro-Phex for a test run. The results shocked me. As the product says the first day you notice an increase in mental and physical focus. I sure did. When I started I took one capsule twice a day, then the next day went to two capsules twice a day. The caffeine may be overwhelming for some at the start, but I noticed it calms down after a while. I drink coffee daily so it wasn't overwhelming at all. I was noticing a consistent fat loss just after a week! I really liked the constant non fluctuating results. I even had some cheat meals, and didn't gain any fat.

The product does really a good job of suppressing appetite. I was quite surprised. I'm usually always craving the foods that I shouldn't eat, and thus hinder my results. At the beginning of June I only had one or two cheat meals planned, and I thought that might be unrealistic, and go up to 5 or 6 cheat meals. Throughout the month I really did stick to my plan - I had two cheat meals. I didn't have any cravings at all. There was a huge increase on my mental focus. It was totally different from anything I've ever experienced before. I really was focused on my goals, and nothing stopped me from reaching them.

After a month of using Atro-Phex I went from 186.6lb to 172.8lb! Almost 3% bodyfat was lost also. That was quite the accomplishment for me. I did lose more than I should have (weight loss doesn't always mean fat loss), and may have lost some muscle as a result. I don't think it was excessive though. The key for the product to work is you need a sound diet in place, have a good exercise plan, and get plenty of rest. BSN hit a home run with this product.

I hope this Atro-Phex Review gave you some insight to the power of BSN's products.

Newbie Internet Marketer, today we are going to talk a little bit about relevance.

If this is the first time you are hearing this term, get used to it, because this term is going to be one of the key things you need to understand if you plan on becoming successful. Many Newbie Internet Marketers think that the product is the key to sales. While the product needs to be a good one, it doesn't matter if the page that your audience lands on is not relevant-meaning, it has nothing to do, or little to do with the product.

If you are looking for purple fuzzy slippers, and the site comes up talking about natural dog food, you end up leaving...that is because natural dog food is not what you were looking for. Sounds like common sense, but this is a mistake that is made by so many newbie internet marketers.

When you come up with your campaign, you need to make sure that your keywords are relevant. "Make money" may seem like a relevant keyword for internet marketing, but it may not be relevant if your person is looking for a e-book on internet marketing. "Internet Marketing e-book" would be a relevant key word group.

If you are going to use an ad campaign, you need to make sure your keyword group has relevance. Keep it to no more than 25 keywords. Anything more and your ad group risks losing relevance. Make sure the ad attached to the keywords is relevant to the keywords and the product.

Next, you need to make sure your landing page has relevance. Back to the e-book on internet marketing. Your landing page should be key word rich, but not grossly so...the page should read naturally. And then make sure the content is rich with meaningful information. Maybe the e-book page has a great review on it outlining all the benefits of the book. Remember, you are preselling, getting your reader ready to buy.

Lastly, make sure that your product is very relevant to the customer!

If you follow the golden rule of relevancy, get ready to see the dollars grow!
